Although Myanmar shares border with China, Thailand, India, Bangladesh and Laos, border-crossing tours, It is possible only with China, India and Thailand at the moment. We enter Myanmar from Thailand border (Maesok) and depart from Morae (India border).

Day 1 Myawaddy border – Hpa An

Meet you at Myawaddy - Mae Sot border check-point to help you with necessary documents as well as represent you the border crossing formalities and procedures at check-point authority’s counters. We then begin the trip to Hpa An that sits on the eastern bank of the Thanlwin (Salween) river. While in the area, you'll visit Buddha-filled caves and the iconic Mt Zwe Kabin, where Rudyard Kipling drew inspiration for his poem 'Mandalay'.

Day 2 Hpa An

Visit Buddha-filled caves and the iconic Mt Zwe Kabin, where Rudyard Kipling drew inspiration for his poem 'Mandalay'.

Day 3 Hpa An – Mawlamyine – Hpa An

Day trip to Mawlamyine. Visit small town of Mudon. The area between Mawlamyine and Mudon is very fertile and well known for its rubber plantations and the numerous seasonal fruits grown here. Visit a newly built huge reclining Buddha. Continue to Mawlamyine.
Explore Mawlamyine's morning market then continue with a drive through the town to take in some of its lovely colonial architecture.

Day 4 Hpa An – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock)

Collect your luggage and set off a journey to Kyaikhto (about 1.5 hour).

Day 5 Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon

Head towards Yangon. Enroute visit Bago (approx. 5 hours)

Day 6 Yangon

Your first leg of Yangon will begin by walking through the city center, taking in colonial buildings and the bustling markets offer an insight into local life ,contemporary art galleries and Shwedagon pagoda in the evening.

Day 7 Yangon – Pyay

Drive to Pyay (Prome), situated near the ancient capital of Sri Kettra by passing small towns and farming.
Later in the afternoon, visit Shwesandaw Pagoda; which treasured a duplicate of the Buddha’s tooth relic from Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Day 8 Pyay – Bagan

Departs Pyay towards Myin Chan plain to Bagan.
A stop is made at a local palm tree plantation. This relaxing break will give you the chance to observe local working life with Palm trees.

Day 9 Bagan

Your discovery in Old Bagan begins with some of the site’s most important monuments

Day 10 Bagan - Popa

Day 11 Popa – Kalaw

Today, head towards Kalaw. From here, the road takes you into the Shan Hills.The roads leading to Kalaw offers breathtaking sights of the landscape.
Late afternoon, arrive in Kalaw, a former British hill station tucked amid the Shan Hills. Enjoy the cool, refreshing air and relaxed atmosphere of this charming town.

Day 12 Kalaw – Inle Lake

Visit nearby by Kalaw. Continue overland to Nyaung Shwe,gate way to Inle Lake.

Day 13 Discovery on Inle Lake

A day touring around beautiful Inle lake by local boat.

Day 14 Inle Lake – Pindaya – Mandalay

Enroute, visit Pindaya with its complex of multi-chambered caves filled with hundreds of Buddha relics..

Day 15 Explore Mandalay

Visit Mandalay and surrounding

Day 16 Mandalay – Monywa

Set off a drive to Monywa (150 Km,about 4 hours). Visit picturesque Sagaing Hill which is perhaps the living centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today.
Continue to Monywa and visit town attractions .

Day 17 Monywa – Kalay

Head to Kalay via Gangaw. We may see many local people carrying grinned stone to make the road in Gangaw.

Day 18 Kalay – Tamu border

This day our guide and driver will escort you to Kalaymyo then the border to enter India. Enjoy the stunning landscape and take the beautiful shots of the local people.
Enter India via Tamu - Morae border. Say "Bye Bye" to Myanmar


Crossing into Myanmar with your own vehicle (motor home, car or motorbike) requires special permission and you will have to be accompanied by a guide and a Ministry of Hotels and Tourism liaison officer. We organize route planning, guiding, accommodation and logistics. We handle your permissions for an overland border crossing and Ministry of Transport . The permission process will take about one month. The Myanmar visa must be stamped into the clients’ passports prior to their arrival at the Myanmar border. When applying for visa, the entry and exit points have to be clearly stated.
